A book fair on Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at Barnes & Noble, 5909 Peach St., will raise funds for Erie Reading Council’s Growing Readers project, which is designed to bring literacy education to new teen mothers.
Make a purchase during the event using a voucher from the Erie Reading Council and you’ll not only get a discount on your purchase, but a percentage of the sale will also be donated to the ERC.
Plus, there will be literary-focused activities for children, including bookmaking, toddler time and story time, with celebrity readers from Lake Erie Speedway and the Erie Playhouse, including Ariel and Sebastian from “The Little Mermaid” and Pinkalicious.
